Dhaka Bank celebrates International MSME Day 2026 with MSME Product Display Fair and Honoring Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs
Dhaka Bank PLC celebrated International MSME Day 2026 by organizing a MSME Product Display Fair and a Crest Giving Ceremony to honor outstanding women entrepreneurs who received incentives from Bangladesh Bank in recognition of their exemplary loan repayment records under the Small Enterprise Refinance Scheme for Women Entrepreneurs.
The program was held on 28 June 2026 at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan, Dhaka. As part of the celebration, an MSME Product Display Fair featured innovative products from five women entrepreneurs supported by Dhaka Bank, providing them with a platform to showcase and promote their businesses. To mark the occasion, the Bank also decorated its Head Office and several key branches with banners, festoons, balloons, and other promotional materials, creating a festive atmosphere across its network.
The Crest Giving Ceremony was graced by the presence of Special Guest Ms. Hafia Tazrean, Additional Director, SME & Special Programmes Department (SMESPD), Bangladesh Bank. Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director & CEO, and Mr. A K M Shahnawaj, Additional Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer of Dhaka Bank PLC also graced the event. Senior executives of the Bank, invited Branch Managers, distinguished guests, and entrepreneurs from across the country were also present. The ceremony was simultaneously broadcast live via Zoom, enabling branches nationwide to participate in the celebration.
Crests were presented to 5 nos. participants of the MSME Product Display Fair and to 16 nos. women entrepreneurs recognized by Bangladesh Bank for their outstanding loan repayment performance. The program also featured a welcome address by the Chairperson of the event, Mr. Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Emerging Market Officer, followed by experience-sharing sessions from participating entrepreneurs and remarks from the distinguished guests.
Through this celebration, Dhaka Bank PLC reaffirmed its commitment to promoting women entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, innovation, and the sustainable growth of Bangladesh’s MSME sector.
