Yesterday marked the inauguration of our new film, “Gulshaner Chameli.”
From the moment I heard the story, I knew this was a project that had something important to say. With a compelling screenplay by Abdullah Zahir Babu, directed by Mohammad Iqbal, and produced by Jahangir Shikdar, the film explores a subject that feels deeply relevant to the times we live in.
Saying yes to this project wasn’t an easy decision—it was a thoughtful one. But I have always believed that growth as an actor comes from embracing stories that challenge us and stepping into unfamiliar territory. More than anything, I wanted to experience this journey and be part of a story that has the potential to start meaningful conversations.
I’m truly honored to share the screen with so many legendary actors and with our Chameli, the wonderful Madhumita. I hope this journey is filled with learning, collaboration, and the joy of creating something meaningful together.
