The Premier Bank PLC has relocated its Baridhara branch to Shefa Tower in Baridhara, Dhaka, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience and provide improved banking services.
The relocated branch was formally inaugurated at a ceremony held on Sunday. Dr Arifur Rahman, Chairman of The Premier Bank PLC, attended the event as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the new branch.
Senior officials of the bank, branch executives, valued customers and well-wishers were present at the ceremony.
Among those attending were M Nurul Alam, FCS, Independent Director of The Premier Bank PLC and Chairman of Premier Bank Securities Limited; Md Sazzad Hossain, Independent Director and Chairman of the Risk Management Committee; and Md Monzur Mofiz, Managing Director of The Premier Bank PLC.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Arifur Rahman said the relocation of the Baridhara branch was part of the bank’s broader transformation programme aimed at improving services and creating a better banking experience for customers.
“The Premier Bank’s head office is now located at Shanta Pinnacle, the country’s first 40-storey building, which will take our banking services to new heights,” he said.
He added that the bank was continuing its transformation under the motto “Moving onwards and upwards” and that the relocation of the Baridhara branch was another step towards providing customers with better and more convenient services.
Baridhara is one of Dhaka’s prominent residential and commercial areas, with a significant concentration of businesses, diplomatic missions and high-value individual and corporate customers. The relocation of the branch to Shefa Tower is expected to provide customers with a more modern and convenient environment for accessing banking services.
The bank said improving customer service remains one of its key priorities. As part of this strategy, it has been focusing on strengthening branch infrastructure, improving service delivery and expanding technology-based banking facilities.
The relocation also reflects the bank’s broader efforts to modernise its operations in response to the changing expectations of customers and the growing competition in the banking sector.
Bank officials said customers today expect banking services to be faster, more convenient, secure and accessible. Alongside digital banking facilities, modern and customer-friendly branch environments remain important, particularly for corporate customers and clients who require personalised banking services.
The Premier Bank has been undertaking a number of initiatives to strengthen its overall operations and improve customer experience. The relocation of the Baridhara branch is part of these continuing efforts.
At the inauguration programme, senior officials also emphasised the importance of customer trust, service quality and operational efficiency in ensuring the bank’s long-term growth.
The bank’s management said it would continue to invest in service improvement, technology and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of its customers. The bank also plans to strengthen its technology-driven banking services alongside its traditional branch-based operations.
The relocation of the Baridhara branch to Shefa Tower is expected to strengthen The Premier Bank’s presence in one of Dhaka’s key commercial and residential areas while creating a more modern service environment for its customers.
With the opening of the relocated branch, the bank has taken another step in its ongoing transformation programme, with customer service, modernisation and sustainable growth remaining at the centre of its strategy.
