Industry leaders highlighted Bangladesh’s growing role in promoting responsible business practices at a panel discussion titled “From Factory Floors to Global Leadership: How Bangladesh’s RMG Sector is Redefining Responsible Business for the World” during the AkijBashir Group Sustainability Summit 2026, powered by SMC Enterprise Limited and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), in association with PRAN-RFL Group and BGMEA.
The session was moderated by Vidiya Amrit Khan, Vice President of BGMEA and Deputy Managing Director of Desh Group of Companies.
The panel featured Mohammed Zahidullah, Chief Sustainability Officer of DBL Group, and Kamran Sadique, Adviser to the Energy Optimization Standing Committee of BGMEA and Director of MBM Group. The discussion focused on how Bangladesh’s ready-made garment industry is strengthening sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible manufacturing to enhance its competitiveness and global leadership.
