Sustainability Summit 2026 to Spotlight Responsible Business Conduct as a Business Imperative
A panel discussion titled “Responsible Business Conduct: From Choice to Necessity – Shaping the Future of Business” will be held at the AkijBashir Group presents Sustainability Summit 2026, powered by SMC Enterprise Limited and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), in association with PRAN-RFL Group and BGMEA.
The session will be moderated by Prof. Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).
The panel will feature AL Batuni Ahmed, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh; Nuzhat Anwar, Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC; Dr. Mehruna Islam Chowdhury, Project Economist at UNDP and National Specialist on Business & Human Rights and Responsible Business Conduct; and K A M Morshed, Senior Director (ACE) at BRAC.
The discussion will explore why responsible business conduct has evolved from a voluntary choice into a strategic necessity for businesses. Panelists will share insights on embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, human rights, corporate governance, and sustainable business practices into core business strategies, while highlighting their role in building resilience, competitiveness, and long-term value creation.
